[comp.sys.amiga.hardware] Mouse or agnus?

Well, I too had a similar problem deciding if I should get a new mouse
or ..... gee, I forgot what else I was going to get...

Well, I bought the Boing! optical mouse for $85 from a company called
Computers, etc!. In my opinion, it has a much more professional feel to
it than the Amiga mouse, and it has 3 buttons. I think the 3rd button will
be supported in the new workbench (? I hope), but you can still read from
it just like the other 2 buttons.
I REALLY like this mouse, and would recommend it to anyone who has a
deceased mouse. There are a few quirks about it that I should forewarn
you about...
First of all, you can only use it on the special mirror mouse pad, and
unlike the amiga(or any ball-type mouse), you must use it parallel to the
sides of the pad. In other words, don't plan on using it at wierd angles
....
Secondly, it has an initial lag when you move it (very unnoticable until
you try to play Acrhinoid II). This is because it rides on 2 felt-type
pads, instead of that nylon (or plastic) stuff like the amiga mouse.

Other than that, it is a really good mouse, and it comes with a 1 year
warranty.
