Well, I finally got my A2000 back and the A2286 is working fine. The only
change the guy made was to run the drive cable under the expansion cards
instead of over. Apparentely this is something Commodore tells the service
centers to do, but they don't offer any explanation of why to do it.
As far as the software goes: besides the problem with the
System/SideCarTable.Settings file, it is probably a good idea to replace
the Commodore DOS 3.3 with an IBM DOS 3.3.
