[comp.sys.amiga.hardware] 3000 chip speed

rrmorris@uokmax.uucp (Rodney Raymond Morrison) (05/02/90)

  My main question is :

Do the custom chips in the amiga 3000 run at the old 7.xx mhz
or will they run at the speed of chip RAM -> 16 mhz?

(the speed of chip ram in the amiga 3000 - not the oplder models)

Both the Amiga chips and "chip ram" run at the traditional 3.58 Mhz cycle
rate, performance being somewhat improved by allowing 32-bit processor access.

The on-board expansion memory is both faster and 32-bits wide.
