To contribute more to the continual questions about WB2.0 and ECS.
1. What WILL be the form of Kickstart 2.0? Will it be on a disk or burnt
into roms? If it's burnt into roms, can you use the 1.3 roms at the
same time or as another option? I want the new OS, but I am wary about
putting a rom inside my 500 that is potentially buggy and may break
a lot of software. If I can still use 1.3, it would be a lot better
for a lot of people.
2. With 1Mb chip and 2Mb fast, do I need FastMemFirst in the startup?
Without the 1Mb chip, I was under the impression that FastMemFirst
changed the order from A501-fast-chip to fast-A501-chip. Seeing that
the A501 IS chip, wouldn't that mean that fast ram is addressed first,
and hence FastMemFirst is unnecessary?
3. Why do SO many people have Betas of 2.0? Almost everybody says they've
seen it. When do I? I'm open to offers to send it over to me :-)
