HELP! This happened last week when I turned on my A2000; the SetClock command (WB1.3) in my Startup-Sequence reported 'Battery Backed up Clock not found'. Since I've had trouble with the clock before (it suddenly ran much too fast but this could be fixed with WB1.2 setclock), I tried to reset the clock with 'SetClock reset' but this has no effect, WB1.2 SetClock says 'Internal clock not functioning' and WB1.3 SetClock says 'Battery Backed up Clock not found'. The clock chip is still present however since a memory dump of addresses DC0000-DC003F gives: >DC0000: FFF6FFF6 FFF3FFF3 FFF5FFF5 FFF5FFF5 :.v.v.s.s.u.u.u.u >DC0010: FFF1FFF1 FFF1FFF1 FFFBFFFB FFF2FFF2 :.q.q.q.q.{.{.r.r >DC0020: FFF1FFF1 FFF0FFF0 FFFAFFFA FFF1FFF1 :.q.q.p.p.z.z.q.q >DC0030: FFF2FFF2 FFF6FFF6 FFF0FFF0 FFF4FFF4 :.r.r.v.v.p.p.t.t I think the clock chip somehow has locked itself up, probably during power-up when switching from battery power to power supply. So before I'm going to replace the clock chip I want to be 99.99% sure that it isn't a problem that can be fixed by just resetting the chip. If anyone has experience with the missing battery backed up clock or (better:-) a program to fix it, please let me know.
