I read in Amiga World that the only problem with using a 500 hard drive on a 1000 is that you have to turn it around and put something under it to raise it to the level of the bus expansion. I would assume that this means you could use a drive meant for a 1000 on a 500, provided you flipped it around and put something under the 500. Any reason this wouldn't work? Any possible ill effects, or incompatibilities?
