I got my A3000 on the weekend, and now that I'm used to it I would like to try and connect my other hard drives. The SCSI interface that they use is an Adaptec 4000a. What do I need to know to connect it? I understand that I will have to connect it to the internal SCSI header connector, but do I have to have a terminator on the Adaptec? Do I have to remove a terminator from the internal Quantum? How can I tell which is the #1 pin on the internal 50 pin header connector if I don't want to remove the powersupply shelf? Once I plug it it, what else will I need to know? Will it automatically be recongnized, or will I have to mount it somehow? The drives were formatted with a Supra SCSI interface, so hopefully I won't have to reformat them, because I believe that they used Commodores Rigid Boot Block format. What can go wrong if I do one of the above things incorectly? All help is appreciated!
