I seem to remember catching the tail-end of a discussion that relates how to change the Maxtranfer parameter of a GVP partition. It is obviously more difficult than just editting the mountlist file, because my 2000 auto-boots and auto-mounts its partitions, so the info must be encoded someplace in the boot-tracks that the GVP installation installs on the disk. If anyone knows anything about this, and has the patch that I am talking about please, please e-mail it to me! (I also read all the comp.sys.amiga newsgroups, but I doubt that everyone wants to see this again.) (BTW -- hardware is as follows: 1020 5.25" floppy, 2 internal 3.5" drives, Seagate 296N disk drive, GVP Impact 2000/2 controller, B2000 4.3rev motherboard, 2002 monitor.) Thanks in advance. -- /* Kurt J. Lidl (lidl@eng.umd.edu) | Unix is the answer, but only if you */ /* UUCP: uunet!eng.umd.edu!lidl | phrase the question very carefully. */
