I'm trying to trace down a malfunctioning Francis board and so far we see the problem comming off the Franpal. The following pins on Franpal are behaving thusly: 15 - Not 5v peak (3.5-4) 14 - Really noisy (every pulse has 10 or so spikes in it) 13 - Periodic noise 12 - Good signal CS - Constant high ML - Constant high We've been running a small basic program poking & peeking at 400000h to make the lines operate. Modeload seems to work but all the peek returns is 652a652a (this is true for all memory locations). We have not done the CAS hack yet, but have done the LUCAS hack and added extra grounds. What concerns us now is that since 12-15 are outputs of the PAL, maybe the PAL is broke? The inputs all look good on the address lines. Can anyone verify the behaviour of the CS & ML lines and verify that the CAS lines behave differently than this? Thanx...
