Is there anyone out there experienced with GVP scsi hardcards ? I had this weird problem this morning : 1. Suddenly there was r/w errrors on both drives on every file and driectory. 2. I tried to warm boot, but the machine simply wouldn't come any furthe than the white screen ( after blinking as usual ) The drive was quiet. 3. Warm boot, with a floppy in df0:. The system boots from the floppy and the partitions amuto-mounts. No errors. Tried DiskChecker (PD) returned error -3 on every sector of dh0: ( GVP non-standard RDB ????(wild guess)). 4. Warm boot, no floppy in df0:. Everything works!!! 5. Writing this. My setup is an A2000 rev 6.2, Kick 1.3(34.5) WB 34.20 GVP HC/45 with usual AutoBoot EPROMs (non-advanced), w/ an Seagate ST157N factorymounted on it. The reason I`m asking this here is that my local dealer knows NOTHING except to boot an A500 to play a ShootEmUp Another query: I`ve read somewhere that all Seagate drives shipped w/ the HC is 28ms. I`ve also seen the 28ms version being called ST157N-1. My drive is labeled 157N. Is it 28 or 40 ms. I'd be really grateful if anyone could answer these questions, as I was rather upset.... The drive was bought 2 days ago. Bye!
