[comp.sys.amiga.hardware] Jumpers on Matsushita floppy drive?

arxt@quads.uchicago.edu (patrick palmer) (08/25/90)

I just replaced a floppy an A2000. The old one just got more and more
erratic. When I replaced it I found it was filled with dust. I had never
got around to cleaning the heads either. Now I am wondering about cleaning it
up and using it as df1: I need to know how to set the jumpers (on the drive).

Looking from the back, there are ten pins in the jumper area, 4 are currently
jumpered and it worked as df0: It looks like:
             . . . . . < these are pins
l l < these represent the current location of
             l l the jumpers.
             . . . . . < bottom row of pins

The drive is a Matsushita, JU-253 -02T is the part number, I think (there are
lots of numbers).

I would be very grateful if someone could tell me how to set the jumpers to
make it function as df1:

p.s. The new floppy is a GVP A2000-FD2010, and it has a door that closes
when there is no floppy in the drive.
