[comp.sys.amiga.hardware] Battery backed up clock not working

   Recently I bought a 1.8MB expansion RAM
for my Amiga 500. The battery backed-up clock
worked perfectly allright, until one day, on
a call from 'setclock opt load', it answered :

  Battery Backed up clock not found.

   I've heard that it is possible to cause
this, by poking to some address. Is this correct
and is it possible to fix it again.
