[comp.sys.amiga.hardware] Do Cross-compilers exist for embedded micro apps?

santerel@grip.cis.upenn.edu (Walter Santarelli) (09/25/90)

I've been reading Circuit Cellar INK lately and am wondering if any of
the cross compiler utilities advertised for the IBM and compatibles
are matched by something for the AMIGA. I'm interested in
experimenting with micro-processor control and embedded applications
and would like to be able to compile C code into machine instructions
for commercially available computer-controllers. I'm a novice at this;
I have extensive experience on the controls systems side but am
relatively inexperienced with the hardware side. (That's why I'm
experimenting.:-)) I'd appreciate any advice anyone has. If there's
interest, I'll post the results. Please respond vis e-mail. Thanks
