14-Legged Invaders At the Walls of Seattle Washington Mayor Charles Royer says Seattle needs federal help to keep clams and 14-legged crustace- ans, known as gribbles, from gnawing at the city's waterfront. -- # -- # -- # -- Why has no one told us of this threat before? Where will the relentless crustaceans strike next? What if they run out of waterfront and learn to gnaw at streets and buildings? This could get SERIOUS..... I suspect that the 14-legged gribbles may be wombats in disquise. After all, where did the gribbles appear? The US west coast. Go southwest from the west coast and where do you wind up? Australia!
