I've had an odd and occasionally very irritating problem since I've bought my A3000. When the machine is doing scrolling, like a big directory in the shell, and even during "routine" graphical operations like showing icons and drawing graphics, I get "streaks" and other graphical garbage all along the part of the screen where the graphical operation is being done. This usually obscures or destroys whatever was being drawn. Highly irritating. The newest version of the operating system has helped somewhat - I don't get it in the CLI anymore. However, programs like PenPal and AmigaVision will still get "crapped-up" (<- scientific description) graphics occasionally, especially in AmigaVision's "Click on the state and get info" demo - lines appear and stay on the screen until it's refreshed again by the program. A friend of mine thinks the Blitter (on the Fat Agnes) may be a bit whacko, or perhaps there's a timing problem somewhere. Has anyone else experienced this problem? I'd like to know if I should order a new Fat Agnes or not, or try to persuade some other A3000 owner for a quick chip swap (hard to do, with the chance of hurting someone's new toy!). :) -Arthur
