I just got an upgrade notice from Microbotics. To quote the first paragraph, "This is the first announced, significant upgrade to the HardFrame driver since the initial release version (1.5). The new 1.9 driver provides for improved reliability of operation; greater compatibility with, and tolerance of, a wider selection of SCSI hard disks and other SCSI devices; AND compatibility with AmigaDOS version 2.0. ... EPROM ... not be necessary to reformat your disk drive or re-install your partitions." Also, new Intuition-based RDPREP and Removable Media Support. Now, my question is, is it worth the $49 upgrade price? I've never had a problem with my HardDrive/HardFrame. If this is just a compatibility upgrade, I won't go for it, but if this will make it much more error tolerant (i.e. might save my butt...) I'll bite. Does anyone have any more information? I am a poor college student, so I don't need to worry about expanded compatibilities -- I can't even afford a new memory board yet... -- Greg Stelmack -- Email: stelmack@sol.csee.usf.edu -- USmail: USF Box 1510, Tampa, FL 33620-1510 -- Amiga: the only way to compute!
