I am currently running a 68020-68881 Lucas board in my A1000, and am thinking about upgrades. Is the 68882 pin-compatible with the 881? Can I just plug it in? And what do I do about the 68030? Is anyone working on a hack to get one of those working? Speed, power... yeah!

The 68882 is pin-compatible to the 68881 and it's 'just to plug
it in'.

Of course, 32 bit memory AND a 68030 is faster evenmore ... Try FRANCES, a 4MEG 32 bit RAM board made to connect to LUCAS. A 68882 is pin compatible to a 68881. - joost -

Did I read right (somewhere or other) that the Frances/Lucas design is PD or freely distributable/copyable etc.? Does it work on a 2000 or are there cheaper ways to get a '030 etc going on this machine?
