I'm planning on going to a computer show next month and I'm posting this question now to allow lots of time for replies... I've heard talk recently about such things as "My SuperFAT works this way and this other guys works this way" The answer : "Well, he must have a newer one than you". One point comes to mind about a 3000 owner that selected a 740 x 480 (or some such) screen and his chipset created a virtual screen on a 640x400 screen while his neighbours created the 740x480 screen. I remember the reply to this said his friend used overscan so this paritcular case is a little irrelevant, but you get my point. As you may have already figured out, my question is regarding actual chip reveision/serial numbers on the new SuperDenise and SuperFAT Agnus chips...What are the newest numbers? Can anyone actually tell me not to bother with something below number xxxxxxx? My sys config is... B2000 REV 4.2 w/Fat Agnus KS1.2 (until 2.0 is out) WB1.32 Hardframe 2000 A2088 (an earlier REV). I included my configuration in case there are any fixes in newer chips that don't work with my setup (or any other similar problems). Also, any info on whether the 2000 version (or any final version) of 2.0 will be able to switch to 1.3 somehow (at least WB)? I'm not looking forward to axeing a bunch of my software becuase it is 2.0 incompatible. Maybe someone could write a command that loads 1.3 code into the WCS (or whatever) and then reboots running from that code. This may be feasible mightn't it? (Dave? :-) E-Mail what you know, and if I get some concrete stuff, maybe I'll post a summary. -- -- Craig Lemon - Kitchener, Ontario.
