Hi Amiganoids worldwide, seems either noone read this or noone knows an answer - so i 'dare' ;-) to repost it - please read, and try to help: (maybe this posting did not even get out of our U - that would be the worst case, but I think it made it's way out to you...) Again I post some questions for a friend of mine who is developing a graphics card for the A2000 that won't run yet - i hope someone can help. Here it goes: 1) Probably an error in the Autoconfig ?? I have developed a PIC (plug-in card) with two autoconfig's, and there occur some strange things: At configuration time, the second config does not properly configurate in some slots, however sometimes only at the first configuration after power-up. In conjunction with different cards it sometimes works 100 %, and in others only the first config is recognized correctly. There seems to be the following dependency: case 1: PIC in slot 1, a trumpcard hd controller in slot 2, a PC board in slot 4. In this combination the PC board is not recognized. case 2: Memory board 2058 in slot 1, trumpcard controller in slot 2 (same with 3 or 4), PIC in slot 5. (here he did not tell me what happened, but I think the PIC was not recognized - [the Poster]..:)) Technical info: The machine is an A2000 Rev. 4.2 The second config member is being enabled by CONOUT from the first config. The second config's CONOUT goes to the next slot. The first config is 'ShutUp'-able, the second isn't. According to a logic analyser, all timings on the PIC are correct. Who can help ?? This is quite urgent, as the card should be done until November (Amiga '90 in Colonia/Germany)...will u be there, Dave ? :) 2) Who knows the reason for 1.5 Volt (10 - 20 nanoseconds) hazards on ground plane of PICs ? Which ground pins from the (100 pin) slot should be used on the PIC ?? I hope someone can answer this - my friend is really desperate now, as we hoped to get all soft & hardware done until November, which will be almost impossible now...if you just have a suggestion, enlighten us!! Thanx, and hope to hear from you soon, Frank Neumann -- + Frank Neumann, Hauptstr. 107, 2900 Oldenburg, FRG The Amiga is it. + + neumann@uniol.uucp ZER:neumann@uniol.zer InHouse: amigo@faramir +
