[comp.sys.amiga.hardware] problem with 1 MEG Agnus upgrade

A friend of mine is trying to upgrade his A2000 rev4.3 motherboard
to use the one megabyte FAT AGNUS chip and he is having problems. Here
is his configuration:

Amiga 2000 rev4.3
2090A HD Controller
ST138 30 MEG MFM Hard Drive
Supra RAM 2000 populated to 4 Megs

Symptoms:

When the one meg FAT AGNUS is installed per instructions the machine
will run but has random GURU's. One operation will always cause the
machine to crash and that is when you try to duplicate a drawer the
machine will always GURU. We have tried to reset the chip several times
figuring that the chip may have not seated properly but it still occurs.
When we put the original Agnus back in the computer and reset the jumpers
to there original positions (500,101) the machine functions properly.

Anybody have any suggestions as to what the problem may be?

Are there any other modifications that have to be made to this revision
motherboard for the one meg Fat Agnus to work?

						    Thanks,
