[comp.sys.amiga.hardware] Did I blow my montor or my Amy?

sl35746@uxa.cso.uiuc.edu (By-Tor) (11/02/90)

Hi. I just got to work today, plugged in my Amiga, and no picture. Then
I realized that I accidentally moved the rgb switch on the 1080 to digital
rgb, so I put it back to analog, and now the only color being displayed
is RED! Arg. Does anyone know if it's the Amiga or the monitor? I don't
have another RGB monitor to test it against. I am going to try my VCR when
I get home, but that won't tell me for sure. Thanks,
	Jeff

It is probably the cable. This frequently happened to me after moving
the machine. Try plugging the cable firmly again at both ends (with
both off, of course) and see if it helps. Otherwise, I don't know what
the problem is. Hooking it up to your VCR may not indicate a problem with
the monitor if the problem is in the RGB input.
