Hi, my one of the ram chips in the chip ram of my A1000 has just died, and I'm trying to figure out which one it is. I wrote a little test program, and it appears that locations 418304-418815 are bad. When I write $ffff, it contains $fffb. From this I assume whichever chip corresponds to bit 3 on the A1000's 256K expander is bad. Do you know which chip this is? As a temporary solution, I pre-allocated the memory between 418304-418815, which lets me run some software, but I sure would like to have my amiga recover from this amnesia. Thanks (as usual) in advance! -bruce ------------------------------------------------------ Quantum _\/_ 2822 Ganges Bruce (6502 RULES!)
