[comp.sys.amiga.hardware] 5.25" floppy hack

gilgalad@caen.engin.umich.edu (Ralph Seguin) (11/12/90)

Where can I get the info on the 5.25" floppy drive hack for using the
drive as a standard Amiga drive? How reliable is it? What is the
max capacity? I've heard of people using them as 880K devices.
It would make a decent (not GOOD 8-) backup device. Ack! When I
get my 660 (a LOOOONG ways away 8-), that's going to be quite a few
floppies. Anybody local willing to do this for me (since I'm not
a hardware person) ?

PS- the drive is a Shugart 1/2 height: model #: SA455-3AA

			Thanks, Ralph
