[comp.sys.amiga.hardware] 5.25" Canon Drive

(This is a re-post on my part because our $@%&*! news poster ATE MY
ARTICLE!!!!!)

I know this isn't too Amiga-related but I have a question: Does anybody
have or know where I can get the DIP switch settings for this Canon drive
I've got? It has a label on the back that appears as follows:

  ______________________
MDD210 Canon
Part No. K-61222-03
Serial No. 24316
Canon Electronics Inc
  ----------------------

     It's double-sided and I believe it's 40-track (not 80). It has a big
door that covers the entire front and swings up, but is locked when the
drive is spinning (there's a solenoid - activated latch on the door).
I bought the thing for $30.00 at a parts store in Sacramento; it
seems to work, but it doesn't seem to know when NOT to respond to disk
signals - I had it hooked up as DF1: but it would respond to signals
sent to DF0: thereby confusing the bus and preventing me from booting. I'm
using a simple 80-track autoconfig board I made, going from an article that
appeared in an issue of Amazing Computing a few months ago.
I'm pretty sure it's the drive, not the board because I've also hooked
it up to the autoconfig board of my A1010 and got the same result. The
thing has three sets of switches and it'd take forever to go through all
combinations! If somebody out there recognizes the drive or can give me
a number to call at Canon (or an address to write) I'd be very grateful!
     Thanks for your time!
