Based on info from many helpful people I had decided to purchase a 2091 with 40meg Quantum by international mailorder. I have a 2058 card with 2 meg populated. The main reason for the 2091 apart from the quality product was that it would allow me to put 2 MEG on the 2091 and with 4 MEG on 2058 I would be able to have 6 MEG ram if I got a Bridgeboard. ( the 2058 only goes 2 - 4 - 8 Meg) Another reason was the suppose the 2091 is best if you are concerned about future compatability of any new peripherial. But I am now able to get a GVP HC8 + 40Q Series II here in New Zealand thus purchasing locally I can add RAM in 2 Meg segments to the board thus meaning I could sell my 2058 and put the 2 meg on the GVP. THe GVP cost NZ$1479 Yes shed a few tears for me please (The 2091 will probably cost the same landed here) Anyway what I asking for is is the GVP HC8 Series II a good product. Any disadvantages compared to the 2091? Any advantages? Compatability? Reliability? Software? They are advertising FAASTROM3.0 ? More important is it a good SCSI implementation? This will be the last time I will bother the NET I will have either within three weeks. Thanks for any comments. USENET is a treasure to us Amiga people down here in New Zealand. -- Keith Stewart B2000 Rev 4.5 2 Floppy Disk Drives 2058 RAM Card w/ 2meg
