I recently bought an Amiga 500P (withhthe 1Meg installed). I had heards that the newer Amigas had the new fat agnus. However the guy at the store said it didn't. My friend also just bought one (from a different place). The guy told him that they had the new chip but it was not activated. The only difference between our computers is the color of the power and drive leds. Does this mean he has them and I don't? Is there any easy way for me to find out if I have the new chip without voiding my warranty? Dave Downin

I also have an A500 with an Obese Agnus chip.. though it still cant access 1Mb of CHIP mem (i.e sound and graphics data in the $c00000 range)... the only difference is that I can put my (PAL) Amiga into NTSC mode (50Hz to 60Hz) by freaking a few hardware registers.. and that some games wont work!
