A few days ago, I asked if it was possible to get better speeds than 80k/sec from an FFS partition on a hard drive connected to my Amiga 1000 through a StarDrive SCSI controller. Thanks to all who responded and suggested that I choose a hardware interleave of 3 when low-level formatting my hard drive. After backing up and reformatting, I'm now getting 265k/sec reads and 207k/sec writes with FastMode on (according to DiskPerf). nj
