When I originally had a 1MG Fat Agnus put in my A2500/030 I had to take it back a week latter because the chip was heat sensitive, if you left the CPU on for long graphics (menus, etc...) would start to get left on the screen. Now months latter my replacement Agnus is exhibiting the same troubles. My question is two fold. 1. Is it possible that there is something wrong with my motherboard that is causing the Agnus chips to go bad? 2. Is there any type of warranty for the CBM chips? The place that installed the Agnus said they will take care of it, but they are having huge troubles getting the chips in stock and since I have moved they are about a 2 hour drive away. Is there any kind of warranty, so that I can take my Amiga and receipt to a local dealer to get a new Agnus? How long is the warranty and if it has changed recently, when? Even the dealers I have talked to don't know the policy on this.
