I have had an Amiga 1000 for a number of years now and am planning to (finally) upgrade it. It currently has 512 kb of memory and two floppy disks. I am thinking of adding the following: 1) Insider II with 1.5 Mb of internal memory and battery clock/calendar. 2) Xetec Fastrack disk system with 52 MB Quantum disk drive. Does anyone have any positive or negative thoughts on the above items or alternative suggestions? I have looked in vain for any recent comments on the net. Please respond via e-mail. Thanks. From: fhwri%CONNCOLL.BITNET@cunyvm.cuny.edu You might think about a 500 hard drive/RAM expansion--they are usable if you turn them 180 degrees and raise the drive to match the height of the 1000's expansion slot. The GVP Impact, for example, can accept up to 8 megs of RAM... --Rick Wrigley fhwri@conncoll.bitnet
