[comp.sys.amiga.hardware] Fat Agnus causing random crashes

kpjeacle@vax1.tcd.ie (Karl Jeacle) (01/05/91)

I've just removed my old 8371 Agnus and replaced it with an 8372A Agnus.
Since I have a PAL B2000 with Rev 4 motherboard, I made the following changes:

	Move J101
	Cut J500
	Cut J102

Since making these changes, I've been experiencing "random" gurus. Only a
few programs will run without guruing the machine. Trying to do more than
one thing at a time screws me up completely.

Kramden SI tells me I have:

Custom Chips: Super Agnus, Normal Denise
Memory List:
Address Range Pri Attr Size Description
  $00200020-$003FFFFF +0 $0005 2.0M expansion ram (I've 2Mb on a 2091)
  $000008E8-$000FE7FF -10 $0003 1.0M Chip Memory

Can anyone tell me if I have made the right changes for my machine?
Perhaps, I need to upgrade to a higher revision motherboard ?

ANY help greatly appreciated. It's awful not being able to use my Amiga
properly anymore......
