I've been thinking of Getting a Genlock device for my Amiga 500.
This will just be at toy for me to play and experiment with, so I
do not want to purchase anything expensive. So that means the
Genlock I am thinking about getting is the AmiGen. Having never
seen an Amiga Genlock in action, I have a few questions.
1) I mainly want to use the Genlock with Gold Disks
MovieSetter. I have some animations with blank backgrounds. Now
if I understand correctly, Since the background color is register
0 it won't show up when I transfer it to another recorder, and
the
image from a VCR that I have connected to the Genlocks input will
be in its place. Is my assumption correct.
2) How bad is AmiGen. Are the final products really bad
to the point that AmiGen is not even worth purchasing.
3) I already have two VCR's, but is there anything else I
will need with AmiGen (mainly cables etc.).
