I want to install a 5 1/4" HD drive in my Amy (1.2 meg PC drive). I will be using it for writing MS-DOS formatted diskettes using Crossdos, which won't be a problem. Anyway, is there either a drive already made for the connector in the Amiga, or a cable available to convert a standard 5 1/4" drive to the Amiga's floppy cable. Thanks in advance! robert gutierrez

Can't be done. :-( The 1.2M 5.25 inch floppies require you to be able
to send data at 500Kbit/s. Paula only supports the 250Kbit/sec mode in MFM
format. The same thing goes with the 1.44M 3.5 inch floppies. The only way
you can use high density right now is to physically slow the drive speed down
like Applied Engineering does.
