I am part of a research project that is creating a 24bit raytracing engine. The part that is pertains to this group follows: for the output of this engine, we did not wish to create our own 24bit framebuffer with NTSC output... so we decided to buy one. It doesn't matter what machine it is for because we are going to hook to it directly. Due to it's cost/quality ratio, the Mimetics framebuffer was recommended to us. Our problem now is two-fold. We have to figure out the interface that the card uses in communicating with the amiga and we have to figure out the addressing scheme it uses to put the 24bit pixel values into its memory. If anyone has had experience with the interface, addressing, or even knows how we can contact Mimetics, I would appreciate your email.
