-> My Amiga has recently developed a sporadic problem with its string -> requestors. What happens is that I'll press a key, and it will just -> REPPPPPPPPPPPEAT very very quickly. Pressing another key stops the -> repeat, but 'backspace' seems to take forever to start deleting -> characters (Amiga-X works instantly though). [stuff deleted] Your problem is your Cherry keyboard, and the use of SETCPU to map the kickstart to 32bit memory. The Cherry keyboard can't seem to handle the faster speed that causes. The solution is in the KEYPATCH command in SETCPU. I use: SETCPU FASTROM CACHE BURST KEYPATCH 10 as my command line, you have to experiment with the number to see what works for your keyboard. <ELF> -- Eric Fleischer - via FidoNet node 1:109/345 UUCP: ...!uunet!halluc!Eric.Fleischer INTERNET: Eric.Fleischer@halluc.FIDONET.ORG
