Hi, I have an A1000 with an old external RAM board called POW*R*CARD by RS Data System (the company doesn't exist anymore!) with 2 Meg onboard. It can be expanded to 4 Meg, however; and this is where the problem is. The manual says that I can expand it by using 256k x 1 DRAM, but it doesn't say anything about the access time. So, the question is which one? 150ns, 120ns or 80ns, or does it matter? Also, how many of the chips do I need to make it 2 Meg more? When I opened the case, I saw there were 16 empty sockets in there. By the way, can someone please explain to me what 256k x 1 means, as well as 256k x 4, 512k x 1, 512k x 4, 1M x 1 and so on. Sometimes, there is "ZIP" behind those terms. What does it mean? Thank you, I really appreciate any effort from you. -- kjfyrwhgbvcxxbmiltioyrazsgwqashhfdhyjhmnmygikuykjiyttqsgffhipkkur hgthtywqegzbvxmmjkjltiourwagagfgzrqtrtwythgshgiuitpukjhfrewqvcxzh rewqsafdyteurhgmnblkjpvcxzgfauytjhgiuytjhnhgsfiytkjhoifdsgfastrew vcxvfghgnnbjhrrtewuiyudsaseqhuyiliupoligvjfew niknorrosdinikmahdi
