[comp.sys.amiga.hardware] A3001 and how good it rea

-> Is there anybody out in netland that has an GVP A3001, with any clock
-> speed. I myself am seriously considering buying the 50 Mhz version of
-> there board.
-> But i want to know some general impressions that people had with the
-> board.
-> Real speed improvments, compatibility problems, price/performance
-> difficulty in installation. etc etc etc,

    I have three GVP 3001 boards (running at 28, 32, and 33 MHz) and
have used the 50 MHz. All run perfectly flawlessly. Installation: Open
the case, remove the blocker plate from the back of the machine, insert
board, screw in backplate, close case.
    I mostly do ray-tracing, and the GVP board provides significant
improvement (from 12 to 20 times the speed, depending on clockspeed).
The feel of the machine is much snappier with KS in 32bit RAM. I have
yet to find a productivity program that would not function perectly.
