[comp.sys.amiga.hardware] A few questions on the 3000 UX

cft@acsu.buffalo.edu (charles f thrailkill) (02/07/91)

Let's see...what first?

Well, as the 3000 UX has the Unix operating system, I guess I'll start
there.

1.	Is Unix it's primary operating system?

2.	How do you access Amiga-based software, which would normally be run
	from workbench?

3.	How much of the hard drive space is taken up by the Unix OS?

4.	How much RAM is used by the Unix OS?

Now let's venture onward...

5.	What is the latest board providing I*M compatibility for the 3000 ?
Does it support VGA? How much memory? etc.?

6.	What's the maximum limit on the 3000's memory?

7.	Is there anyway to use a large (color) monitor with the 3000?

8.	What's the deal with the uprising of 24-bit image products lately?
Has anybody out there used any of them? Which are good? What
equipment requirements are there? Do you need a different monitor?

Well, that's more than enough to keep anyone busy...

Hope someone can help with at least one of these questions....

Thanks...

Frank
