Hi! I've got some problems with our A3000's and the SCRAM. I used SetRamsey to test the following computers: - 5 A3000/25-40 bought at the beginning of july 1990 here in germany. 4 of them have a revision 6.3 board 1 has got a new 9.X board (The old one was broken after 2 Months) - All 5 are equipped with 4MB SCRAM (32x44258 each) We bought the RAM in one bunch from one source Result: - GOOD: If you switch on the SC Mode, you get 10%-20% perfomance increase - BAD: While in SC Mode, the SCSI controller chip on the old 6.3 board can't access the RAM anymore. On the 9.X board it DOES function! Can anyboday at Commodore (Dave, Randell) verify this? Can I upgrade the old boards? Stefan BTW.: The SCRAM is OK, so it must be the board! -- Mail : Stefan Becker, Holsteinstrasse 9, D-5100 Aachen /// Only Phone : +49-241-505705 FIDO: 2:242/7.6 Germany /// Amiga makes Domain: stefanb@informatik.rwth-aachen.de \\\/// it possible..
