My setup is an A3000 with a NEC3D multisync. I've been having some wierd problems. I didn't notice them until I got my HAM-E board, which only exaggerated the problem, but now I've noticed it without HAM-E. Situation: I have two screens. One is VLT, which is a black background and very little contrast. The other is PenPal which is bright white. Pen Pan is on top of the VLT screen, and I am sliding it up and down. As I move it from the very bottom to covering half of the monitor, the top of the VLT screen "warps", becoming wider. As it moves to the top of the monitor, the text on the VLT screen darkens. Does this sound familiar? -- Ethan Q: What's the definition of a Quayle? A: Two right wings and no backbone.

I've noticed that with many monitors (or tv's for that matter) change their screen dimensions (width more than height) when going from a bright to dark screen (or vise versa).... I'm not sure of the cause, but it may just be a fault common to CRT's in general.... perhaps the energy associated with driving the gun is not being properly compensated for when large changes occurr... -Mike-
