Pardon my ignorance here, but a thought just occurred to me that I'd
like to pursue. I'm looking to buy a 2000 soon, so that I can get
a toaster for it. I've got an A500 now, with a Supra HD/RAM add-on.
Now it occurs to me that the 86 pin expansion bus from the A500 is a
Subset (?) of the A2000's Zorro II spec. Is this right? So, if it
is, is there some sort of adapter for the 2000 which will let you plug
in A500 peripherals? Even in kit form, it doesnt seem like it would
be difficult to build, but I wouldnt want to try wire-wrapping it for
noise concerns.
It seems ridiculous to have to sell a well-working hard disk/ram
expansion unit, and turn around and buy another, just because the
adapter for the one I've got is a subset of the one I want. (does
that make sense?) Not to mention, I'd get maybe half of what I
paid for the disk, then have to turn around and spend full price
again??? I dont think so...
Any and all help appreciated. Pointers to kits, adapters, etc greatly
appreciated!
