As I have only recently began to put more than $100 into my computer at a
time, I am rather uneducated on several subjects...would someone like to give
a refresher course on these subjects?
1) What's are the advantages of having a 2.0 KickStart over a 1.3? Does
WorkBench 2.0 work w/ KickStart 1.3? Can you even PURCHACE the 2.0s? This is
involving a A500 currently w/ 1.2KS/1.3WB...
2) What's the advantages/current(future?) costs of the enhanced chips (Agnus,
Deneise etc...)? What would it involve to install them (is it possible?) in a
A500...especially the Fatter Agnus' (would like NTSC/PAL options...what
determains what modell go into anyways?)...
more questions, less involved...
If I were to add, say 2-3 megs on the side of my computer (the A500) would the
old 501 in the trapdoor still be useable as memory (ie, would the two work in
conjunction?)...
Finally, a review:
...my origional Commodore mouse was begining to die, so I began looking for a
replacement, but was dismayed at the $50-60 pricetags of opto-mech mice and
$100's for optical mice... While buying disks in a computer store (I needed
them badly, so they didn't come mail order {ripped me OFF! $.89 apiece!}) when
I notices a mouse sitting way up near the ceiling...it was a Golden Image
Amiga mouse for $35...so far, I'm impressed...high resolution (w/ Qmouse you
barely have to move it)...smooth rolling, and buttons that CLICK and don't
POP! (incredible, isn't it?)...I suppose that it could be had foreven less by
mailorder...compared to the origional, it's a 1000% improvement...
