A bunch of friends and I are getting together to write a game and we are going to be purchasing an Amiga 3000 and 500. I have been reading the Amiga bboards, and have some questions that I am hoping you kind souls would be willing to answer for me. These are all questions that shouldn't be answered by dealers, but by people who have had the machines and have dealt with them for some time. - Does the 3000 crash a lot? What causes it to crash? Is it backward compatible with software and hardware? - Is the 500 too limiting? Can we run 2.0 on it? What upgrade options exist for it (processors, other hardware)? - Are the systems comfortable? What utilties or hardware things make life better / easier for you? (eg: the discussion regarding having CLI windows open to full screen size automatically, or optical mice or...)
