I know I've seen mention in the past of people using A500 periferals (that plug into the side expansion) on A1000's. Has anybody tried it the other way? I have an old A1000 that has a Microbotics Starboard expansion, I just got an A500 and would like to put the Starboard on it. Problem is the A500 side connector is so far resessed into the machine that the Starboard case runs into the A500 case before the connectors meet. Has anybody ever tried to do a work around for this? Does anyone make an 86 pin edge card connector extension? Or maybe two connectors with a ribbon cable between them, that way I could place the Starboard anywhere I want (rather than have it obnoxiously in the way). -- Tim Cullip cullip@cs.unc.edu
