I purchased my A500 a *long* time ago. The serial number is C?1<a bunch of 0s>2452. I assume that this is the "original" rev motherboard, but I have never taken the case apart to find out. Now that there are upgrades/newer models, I would like to know: 1. What motherboard revs have there been for the A500? 2. I am fairly sure that I am stuck at 512K chip ram. Is this true? I am willing to cut traces, etc. 3. Any reported problems with "older" A500s and GVP or Supra HDs? (I am planning to add a 50Mbyte Supra or GVP II in the next three weeks.) 4. Any reason that, if CBM ever does announce 2.0 for A500s, that I wouldn't be able to run it on this machine?
