[comp.sys.amiga.hardware] NorthGate OmniKey 102 Keyboard + A500

   Hello netland:
Just saw an ad for the Northgate Omnikey keyboards, gave them a call,
and found out that they are compatible with the A2000/2500 series
machines, but they say that they are NOT compatible with the A500.
I asked them what (other than the obvious connector) differences are
there, they had no idea or info. Would anyone out there know if
it is possible to make an A2000 type keyboard work on the A500?
Other than the differences in their respective connectors, what other
differences are there??? Thanks in advance, Mike...

Can't say for absolute sure about the A500 but the Omnikey I have on my
    A1000 works fantastic, unless I want to "park" it :)(there's a df1:
parked there anyway). The schematics for the A500 and A2000 keyboard
input (if memory serves correctlly) are very similar.

Unless someone on the net here has conflicting data, go for the Omnikey.

p.s. Don't forget the "Amiga" keycap set when you order your Omni.
