Here is a report on the ICD AdIDE controller (connected to a moderately
fast 28 msec 40 Meg Western Digital IDE drive). I used DiskSpeed 3.1 to
run the test. I ran it without CPU contention and with it. I tried to
use DMA contention but the program wouldn't go all the way through - I'm
still investigating why. This is on a stock A500, I'm happy with the
results since the drive/controller setup only cost me $300.
