[comp.sys.amiga.hardware] GVP series One SCSI +2

Graham_Parkinson@mindlink.UUCP (Graham Parkinson) (04/06/91)

Any hints on why a GVP series 1 SCSI controller doesn't want to
co-operate with the Janus V2 Bridgeboard software?
Is this a problem with this pair? Could someone post the GVP
Bulletin board number?
The bridgeboard runs fine off of the floppy, but not off the installed
Ver 2 Janus software on the hard disk - reporting a library not found
( Must be referring to the Janus.library - which is safely in Expansion,
where it belongs .... )
As well, the controller board hangs when booted with a modem powered on
and must be warm booted as the controller does not find DH0: on a cold boot.???
SCSI unit 0 is the only unit that can be selected with this controller.
So Larry Phillips' fix of slowing down the controller to wait for the drive
by selecting another SCSI id won't work. Its a Q105 operating
without autoboot under 1.2 roms.

Make sure you have GVP's latest driver software.

Their number is (215) 337 8770.

How much expansion RAM? Did you leave 512K for the BridgeBoard out of
the total of 8M available?

Library not Found also means HARDWARE not found.
