[comp.sys.amiga.hardware] Help with Autoconfig on Amigas...

ammrk@swpyr2.sbc.com (Mike R. Kraml) (04/10/91)

Hello, anyone out there worked with expansion boxes for the A500?

Equipment: A500 with IVS trumpcard 2 slot box, making work with
2090A controller and 2052 Ram card.

Problem : Each card will autoconfig by them self, but not together.

What I have done is tested each slot individually by moving autoconfig
IN line (pin 12 (active low)), having each card autoconfig in either
slot. When both cards are installed, with the autoconfig OUT line from
slot 1 going to the autoconfig IN line on slot 2, the system just hangs
at the light gray screen (before booting (blue screen)). I have watched
the autoconfig OUT from slot one, and it does go (active) LOW after a
second or so from power up, but the second card never passes autoconfig?
I assume that the second card is hanging for some reason, but I have no
   reason why. Any ideas?

                              Thanks in advance, Mike...

Turns out the second card is passing config out just fine, but the system
still hangs. Card 1 configs, passes config out, second card configs,
passes config out, systems hangs as if its waiting for some type of
signal to tell it that all cards have finished configing. Any ideas????

									  Thanks again, Mike...
