Dear network; I want to add more memory to my 500. What I have right now is a 500 with a 501 pack and the 1meg chip memory hack up and running. I also already have C Ltd/Kronos SCSI controller, so buying a hard disk controller that takes RAM is kind of wastefull. What I was thinking was buying an adRAM 540 board, and getting rid of the 501 pack. Here comes the questions. If I do add the adRAM 540, will I still be able to have 1meg chip ram? I realise there may be some jumpers to jump and whatnot but will the adRAM support that. Any other suggestions on how to do it are welcome. :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: : Jon Spencer. bhgs@gpu.utcs.utoronto.ca : ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

We have installed several now with only one hitch (bad clock). 1 Meg chip is supported if you have the super agnus (Which is a good idea because the rest of the 'fast' mem is the TRUE fast ram). You already have the 1 meg hack done so its just a matter of installing the Adram as per instructions and away it goes --------------------------------------- | patrick_meloy@outbound.wimsey.bc.ca | | 'The Outbound' BBS Vancouver BC | ---------------------------------------

All you have to do is move a jumper or two, and place the chips in a particular bank on the baseboard (0 - closest to the front of the Amiga). >may be some jumpers to jump and whatnot but will the adRAM >support that. > Any other suggestions on how to do it are welcome. > > >:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: >: Jon Spencer. bhgs@gpu.utcs.utoronto.ca : >:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: -- David Tiberio SUNY Stony Brook 2-3481 AMIGA DDD-MEN Tomas Arce Any students from SUNY Oswego?
