Unfortunately, I don't believe it's legal to use InterNet news for commercial product support due to government (NSF) restrictions. There's been some discussion of this recently in the news.* groups. Personally, I think the CBM people do a pretty good unofficial job here. -- | ben@epmooch.UUCP (Ben Mesander) | "Cash is more important than | | ben%servalan.UUCP@uokmax.ecn.uoknor.edu | your mother." - Al Shugart, | | !chinet!uokmax!servalan!epmooch!ben | CEO, Seagate Technologies |

That's true, I think the best way to pass on a notice is by the people interested, especially by the Amiga User Groups. BTW. Since Nancy Snyner (the one who was in charge of the Amiga User Groups), have been very difficult to contact the new person in charge. Any one when is the best time to reach him? Sorry to post to this group, but I don't know where to post to find the AUG info. I've been trying to register Hard Byte Amiga User Group since six month ago. Everyone who wants a detailed description of pin information and wires and memory address locations and repairs etc. should get a copy of an Amiga service manuel. They run for about $60 and can be ordered from an Amiga service dealer or, I believe, Commodore directly.

Ah - first cup of coffee and I almost missed this... About the user group stuff (not what I was expecting in this group, btw): Fred Holland (holland@cbmvax.commodore.com) is eager to collect your user group info... it'd probably be most useful if it's similar to the AC Product Guide info (name, meeting place and time, contact person/phone, and contact address, etc..) I don't know if someone else handles non-US user groups (most likely Puerto Rico would be handled by the US folks) but it wouldn't hurt to ask... -- Robin LaPasha |Keeper of the Amiga ruslan@ecsvax.uncecs.edu |Hypermedia Mailing List
